It’s 400 years since the death of the Bard and his legacy still lives on.
The beautiful language and skill of his prose,
Depicts a time that has long since gone.
Shakespeare is still taught in our schools
and in countries flung far and wide.
Hundreds still flock to see a play at The Globe
and the dialogue they take in their stride.
Our language has changed over the years
With new words being used every day.
But I do not believe in 400 years hence
Scholars will study a modern day play.
